Restaurant wallet pass pricing: $0.25 per save, 21% return rate
You are charged when customers save their prize to Apple or Google Wallet — not when we send it. No wasted spend.
Updated May 2026
Why Wallet passes beat email
Your prize lands in their pocket — not buried in their inbox.
- 67% engagement rate vs 21% email open rate
- 21% return within 14 days vs 8% with points programs
- 0 app downloads needed — instant access
Always in their pocket. Prize saved to Apple/Google Wallet — no app to forget. The pass sits alongside boarding passes and event tickets, right where the guest checks daily.
Push notifications. Remind them before expiry, drive return visits. Location-based triggers can fire when they walk near your restaurant, turning a passing moment into a return visit.
3 taps to save. No registration, no password, no friction. Compare this to loyalty apps that require account creation, email verification, and profile setup before a guest sees any value.
How wallet passes work for restaurant guests
- Win a prize. Customer spins your wheel and wins.
- Get the email. Prize + “Add to Wallet” buttons arrive instantly.
- One tap save. Pass saved to their phone in seconds.
- Return and redeem. They come back, show the pass, you scan.
You are only charged at step 3 — when they actually save it. Steps 1 and 2 cost you nothing. If the guest wins but never saves the pass, that spin is free.
Wallet pass pricing for restaurants

You are NOT charged for:
- Emails sent
- Passes generated but not saved
- Customers who do not engage
Wallet pass ROI calculator: three restaurant scenarios
Based on 21% return rate from 100+ restaurant data:
Scenario A: Small cafe (50 wallet saves/month)
- Monthly wallet cost: $12.50
- Expected return visits (21%): 10.5 guests
- Average order value: $18
- Extra revenue: $189
- ROI: 1,412%
Scenario B: Mid-size restaurant (100 wallet saves/month)
- Monthly wallet cost: $25
- Expected return visits (21%): 21 guests
- Average order value: $35
- Extra revenue: $735
- ROI: 2,840%
Scenario C: High-traffic venue (300 wallet saves/month)
- Monthly wallet cost: $75
- Expected return visits (21%): 63 guests
- Average order value: $45
- Extra revenue: $2,835
- ROI: 3,680%
The pattern is clear: higher volume = higher ROI. At every volume level, the math works because $0.25 per save is a fraction of even a single return visit’s revenue.
How this compares to competitor Wallet pricing
Most competitors charge differently — and it adds up fast.
| Provider | Pricing model | Cost per 100 saves | Ongoing fees |
|---|---|---|---|
| SpiniX | $0.25 per save | $25 | None beyond subscription |
| Loopy Loyalty | $35-79/mo flat | $35-79 (regardless of saves) | Monthly minimum |
| PassKit | $0.10/pass + $50/mo platform | $60 | Platform fee even with 0 saves |
| Custom development | One-time build | $5,000-15,000 upfront | $500-2,000/mo maintenance |
The key difference: flat-fee platforms charge you whether guests engage or not. Per-save pricing means your cost scales only with actual engagement. A slow month costs less, not the same.
When Wallet passes make sense vs email only
Wallet passes are not required for every restaurant. Here’s how to decide.
Wallet passes make sense when:
- Your average order value is above $15 (the ROI math works easily)
- You want location-based push notifications to drive walk-in traffic
- Your guests are 18-45 years old and carry their phone constantly
- You already have 50+ spins per month and want to increase return rate
Email-only is fine when:
- You are just starting and want to test the system with zero added cost
- Your guest demographic skews older and may not use Wallet features
- Your average order value is under $10 and margins are thin
- You prefer to keep costs as simple as possible during early months
The good news: you can start with email only and turn on Wallet passes later. There is no lock-in. Toggle it on when you are ready, toggle it off if you want to pause.

Wallet pass pricing FAQ
What if they do not save the pass?
You are not charged. We only bill for passes actually added to Apple or Google Wallet.
Can I turn Wallet passes off?
Yes — toggle Wallet on/off anytime in Business Profile settings. The core SpiniX features (wheel, email, reviews) work without Wallet passes.
Is the $0.25 on top of the EUR 29/mo subscription?
Yes. EUR 29/mo covers the full platform (gamification, email automation, review collection, guest database). The $0.25 per save is only for the optional Wallet pass feature.
Is there a minimum?
No minimum. $5 usage = $5 charge. Simple.
What is included in the first month 90% off?
The base subscription drops to around EUR 2.90 (or equivalent in your currency). Wallet pass usage is billed separately at $0.25/save from day one.
What happens if I get a spike in saves?
You only pay for actual saves. If you run a weekend promotion and get 200 saves instead of your usual 50, your Wallet bill for that period is $50 instead of $12.50. There are no overage penalties or tier jumps.
Can I set a monthly Wallet budget cap?
Not currently. But since you control how many QR codes are in play and whether Wallet is toggled on, you have full control over volume. Most restaurants find the cost predictable within 10-15% month over month.
